Fasten your seat belts and rev up the Cat-mobile. After over 20 years hiatus,
Courageous Cat is finally roaring back into action. From Bob Kane's original creation
and unknowingly redesigned by Bruce Timm for the new Animated Series. Exclusive
and Pretend rights have been granted to Chimerical-Creations to produce a complete line
of action figures.
It may not have been groundbreaking in terms of story or animation, but Courageous
Cat and Minute Mouse was still a favorite of many kids, who delighted in seeing a merging
of their favorite types of shows: talking animals, superheroes and senseless cartoon
violence. It's no wonder the show hasn't aired in over 20 years, most episodes had more
real guns and goons than the entire God-Father trilogy, this cat and mouse duo was more
akin to Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs than Tomm and Jerry. "Wasn't it the general
dark and disturbing atmosphere of the show, which made it all the more thrilling!" said a
Chimerical-Creations rep., " that's what we tried to capture in the new line of imaginary
toys"
We got our first glimpse into this "dark and disturbed" world at the Chimerical-Creations
C.G.I. show room, the entire display had been created in PhotoShop; from the carded and
loose figures, to the Cat-mobile and Empire City mock-ups, It was often hard to tell what
was real and what was imaginary, but we managed (using our pretend camera) to take some
pictures anyway.

A close up of Courageous Cat with one of his many Cat-Guns.
Minute Mouse - his meek but faithful sidekick.
The Frog - Courageous' arch-nemesis.
And Harry the Gorilla - an all-around tough.

|
CourageousCat - Metropolis has the Man of Steel, Gotham has the Bat, and Empire
City has Courageous Cat. Relentlessly prowling it's streets in his Cat-mobile. Sworn to
protecting it's citizens from the myriad of fiendish rogues which seem to lurk in every
corner. In his never ending battle against evil doers, the brave Cat employs his Cat-gun,
an engineering marvel that produces the right accessory for every crime stopping
predicament. Features: Propeller-gun, Electro-shock-gun, Giant-can-opener-gun and
Harpoon-gun.
|
MinuteMouse - Small in Stature but very long winded. This squeaky yammering mouse
might not have been the best choice for a side-kick,(especially for a cat). But he always
managed to save his tail in a fight. He comes packaged with "the worlds smartest mousetrap",
a mighty computer-brained contraption which Minute Mouse inadvertently defeats when it tries
to read his mind.
|
Chauncie (Flat-Face) a.k.a. the Frog - Never turn your back on this cigar
chomping, derby wearing scoundrel. Empire City's undisputed crime boss, what he lacks
in size he makes up for in pure evil creative will, this green skinned miscreant has
tried every get rich quick scheme in the book, only to be constantly thwarted by the
do good Cat, so look out, he's hopping mad! Features two pistols and a box of (illegally)
imported cigars.
|
Harry the Gorilla - Every criminal mastermind needs a mindless goon to back him
up (especially if your name happens to be Chauncie), and Harry fits the bill, just remember
to stand behind him when he starts shooting, he's all muscle and little else. Comes with
two tommy guns and a rotating firing arm, for indiscriminant mob-style pest control.
|
OutrageousCat - No one was happier than Courageous to find his long lost cousin
had followed a similar path; to protect the innocent, right the wrong and uphold the law.
Little did he know that his crazy mixed up country cousin was robbing the innocent, wronging
the right, and holding up the law. This trigger happy, misguided and kooky cat comes with
two giant six shooters. And he's downright ornery.
|
Phenous Fox - No rogues gallery would be complete without an overbearing
overstuffed and overdressed, top hat and tails wearing trickster. The smooth talking,
cunning and conniving Fox rubs elbows with the highest and the lowest of Empire City's
denizens. Comes with a jackknife-concealing cane and an elegant hand gun.
|
Robber Rabbit - When the Frog needs to send that non-lethal but painful message,
or deliver an offer that's irrefusable. He sends the Bunny; He's not much on talking, but
this turtle necked, gravel voiced thug will express it in ways they won't soon forget!
Features a lead filled (no-league issued) baseball bat, black-jacks and a pair of brass
knuckles. And watch out for that spring loaded rabbit punch!
|
Rodney Rodent - (Say that with a fake French accent.) No one hates cats more than
rats, so this fine artist has traded in his smock and beret to become a masked swashbuckling
patron of the criminal arts, featuring a variety of swords and a colorful painters pallet
this rotten rodent is determined to leave his mark on Empire City.
