Though a few years early for the 2006 10th anniversary of First Contact, Art Asylum was already showing prototypes of their Star Trek: First Contact Deluxe Anniversary Set. Consisting of Data and Locutus, this set is expected to be popular with fans of the film, which many consider to be the best of the "Next Generation" Star Trek films. The Data figure shows Data in his post phaser coolant trauma appearance, after his climatic battle with the Borg Queen. Fans of the show know that Locutus' appearance is slightly different in each half of the Next Generation "The Best of Both Worlds" episodes, and is more different still in First Contact. Locutus is presented in his First Contact Borg attire, which showcases the more organic-looking Borg suit, and the "less assimilated" Borg head implants.
