As its name implies, the Invid Scout Ship is used for reconnaissance missions. Its specially designed engines allow it to hover and then accelerate to 2,345 mph (3,772 kmph)! The Invid Scout can run at speeds of up to 40 mph (64 kmph) and jump 100 feet (30.5 m). The usual cruising speed for recon assignments is 60 to 150 mph (96 to 240 kmph). Although the Scout carries no long range weapons, its claw-blades are extremely dangerous in hand-to-hand combat. The on-board protoculture targeting system locks on to active protoculture energy. The Scout can be equipped with two shoulder-mounted pulse beam cannons for medium range destruction. The Scout is a deadly assault companion to the Shock Troopers.
